Role Overview

We are looking for a capable, operationally grounded HR Generalist to act as a key people partner for our Malaysia hub while providing regional escalation support across the Philippines, Singapore, and Hong Kong.

  • Departmental Advisory: Serve as the dedicated, frontline HR partner to department heads and line managers across commercial, creative, and technical teams in Malaysia, offering practical guidance on people leadership, onboarding integration, and team dynamics.
  • Regional Touchpoint Support: Act as the operational point of contact for employee lifecycle matters across satellite offices in the Philippines, Singapore, and Hong Kong.
  • Performance & Capability: Support routine performance management cycles and manager calibration check-ins; assist managers with the administrative setup and documentation of Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs).
  • Employee Relations Support: Triage day-to-day employee inquiries, workplace concerns, and conflict resolutions, escalating formal legal or industrial relations matters to the Senior HRBP, Asia.
  • Retention Initiatives: Conduct regular stay interviews and actionable exit interviews; identify trends in employee feedback and recommend practical retention interventions to departmental managers.

2. Outsourced Payroll Coordination

  • Review and approve all payroll documents from our outsourced payroll partner.
  • Act as or partner closely with the designated PIC to ensure bank files and statutory payments are made in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Experience: 4 to 6 years of progressive experience as an HR Generalist with proven capabilities in frontline stakeholder partnering.
  • Payroll & Process Familiarity: Practical familiarity with end-to-end payroll workflows, uploading bank files, coordinating disbursements, and statutory payment schedules.
  • Education: Minimum Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or any related field (practical capability and mindset matter more than formal credentials).
  • Personal Attributes: A proactive self-starter, natural problem solver, and hungry to learn. Possesses strong stakeholder communication skills, high adaptability, and strict discretion when handling confidential employee information.
