Job Description

We are looking for a technically competent and customer-oriented Server & Cloud Presales Engineer to support our sales team in designing and proposing enterprise server, storage, virtualization, and cloud infrastructure solutions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for understanding customer requirements, developing technical solution designs, preparing technical proposals and BOQs, conducting product presentations, and supporting tender submissions.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to understand their business requirements, existing IT infrastructure, workloads, and technical needs.
• Design and propose enterprise server, storage, virtualization, backup, disaster recovery, and cloud infrastructure solutions.
• Develop solution architectures, infrastructure diagrams, technical specifications, BOQs, and BOMs.
• Recommend suitable hardware, software, licensing, and cloud services based on customer requirements and budget.
• Design and propose on-premises, public cloud, private cloud, and hybrid cloud solutions.
• Conduct technical assessments, infrastructure reviews, proof of concepts (POCs), and product demonstrations when required.
• Work closely with the sales team on customer meetings, technical discussions, and solution presentations.
• Review RFPs, RFQs, and tender documents, and prepare technical proposals and compliance documentation.
• Liaise with vendors and distributors for product specifications, quotations, pricing, and technical support.
• Coordinate with project management and technical delivery teams to ensure smooth project handovers.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cloud Computing, or a related field.
• Preferably 2–5 years of experience in Server, Storage, Virtualization, Cloud Infrastructure, Technical Presales, or related ICT roles.
• Strong understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, virtualization, backup, and cloud computing.
• Knowledge of technologies such as VMware, Microsoft Hyper-V, Windows Server, and Linux.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud.
• Understanding of enterprise server and storage solutions from HPE, Dell Technologies, Lenovo, or equivalent vendors.
• Experience preparing technical proposals, solution designs, BOQs/BOMs, and tender documentation.
• Good communication, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to engage with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders professionally.
• Willingness to travel for customer meetings, site surveys, and project-related activities when required.

Candidates with hands-on infrastructure engineering or system administration experience who are interested in transitioning into a presales role are encouraged to apply.

Pay: Up to RM10,000.00 per month
