Job Overview
To direct and coordinate activities concerned with the workshop operation of a service center through the performance of the duties personally or through the employees. Serving as second in command to assist the Workshop Manager, you will manage technician workflows, maintain workshop productivity and efficiency, enforce quality assurance guidelines, and ensure work is completed on time per EON Auto Mart standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Workshop & Operations Management
- Direct and coordinate daily workshop activities, including diagnosing faults, repairs, and servicing of vehicles to standard.
- Maintain effective control of workshop floor workflow to ensure all cars are promptly attended to and completed within the specified/promised time.
- Act as second in command in the workshop when the Workshop Manager is not around.
- Focus on workshop productivity and efficiency by correctly determining vehicle problems and repair times as per EON Auto Mart standards.
- Investigate any technician causing delays to repair completion and take corrective action where inadequate performance is suspected.
- Follow up on all outstanding issues.
2. Team Leadership & Discipline
- Manage the workflow and be responsible for the efficiency and productivity of technicians.
- Be responsible for the clock in and out for the jobs done by the technicians.
- Monitor crew work performance to make sure they adhere to quality assurance guidelines.
- Strictly monitor and manage the disciplinary aspects of technicians.
- Manage technicians' concerns and complaints efficiently.
3. Quality Control & Compliance
- Screen and monitor competent personnel and ensure replacement parts used are correct.
- Ensure technicians complete all recorded repairs and Service Campaigns.
- Ensure warranty documents are complete when repair jobs are finished.
- Ensure all Repair Orders are correctly documented upon completion.
- Keep the center clean and organized, operating safely in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines regarding hazardous materials handling and disposal.
- Carry out managerial responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: SPM / SKM/ Diploma with Automotive Experience: 3 years (Preferred)
- License/Certification: Driving License (Required)
