Job Description
We are looking for a motivated and responsible Project Engineer to coordinate and manage structural steel projects, ensuring that work is carried out according to project specifications, quality standards and schedules.
Roles & Responsibilities
Coordinate and monitor structural steel projects from planning and fabrication to delivery and site installation.
Review structural drawings, shop drawings, technical specifications and project requirements.
Liaise with clients, main contractors, consultants, suppliers and site personnel to ensure smooth project execution.
Coordinate material procurement, fabrication schedules, deliveries and site installation activities.
Monitor project progress, identify potential issues and coordinate timely solutions.
Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with approved drawings, quality standards and safety requirements.
Prepare and maintain project documentation, progress reports, material submissions and other relevant records.
Assist in quantity take-offs, material planning, cost monitoring and variation works.
Perform other project-related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
Degree in Civil, Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
Relevant experience in construction or structural steel projects is a MUST, min 3 years.
Able to read and understand structural drawings and technical specifications.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.
Good communication, coordination, planning and problem-solving skills.
Responsible, proactive and able to work independently as well as in a team.
Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications and a strong willingness to learn may also apply.
