THE LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITY

Neurair is seeking an accomplished Head of Engineering to lead its engineering function and provide strategic technical oversight for advanced AI data center infrastructure projects across the United States and international markets.

This executive-level position will be responsible for engineering strategy, international project oversight, multidisciplinary engineering leadership, technical procurement governance, and engineering delivery excellence.

The successful candidate will work closely with executive management, international clients, engineering consultants, OEMs, technology partners, and project stakeholders to ensure consistent technical standards, project performance, and engineering quality across multiple regions.

We are looking for a proven leader who combines deep engineering knowledge with commercial judgment, organizational leadership, and the ability to manage technically demanding international projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Engineering Strategy & Technical Leadership

• Establish and execute engineering strategies for AI data centers, high-density GPU computing, and advanced computing infrastructure.
• Lead multidisciplinary mechanical, electrical, controls, and systems engineering teams.
• Develop and implement engineering standards, design methodologies, technical governance frameworks, and quality assurance processes.
• Oversee engineering design, technical reviews, system integration, and commissioning.
• Provide technical leadership in advanced liquid cooling, critical power systems, thermal management, and integrated infrastructure.
• Drive innovation in system reliability, scalability, energy efficiency, and infrastructure optimization.
• Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering organization.

International Project Oversight & Global Engineering Operations

• Provide senior-level engineering oversight for AI data center and mission-critical infrastructure projects across the United States and international markets.
• Direct and coordinate engineering activities across multiple projects, regions, and international delivery teams.
• Establish consistent engineering standards, technical quality requirements, and project governance across international operations.
• Coordinate with global engineering consultants, EPC contractors, OEMs, technology partners, and project stakeholders.
• Oversee engineering deliverables, technical milestones, design approvals, and project schedules.
• Lead technical design reviews, engineering risk assessments, and critical infrastructure decisions across international projects.
• Resolve complex engineering challenges involving multidisciplinary teams and international suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with applicable local regulations, project-specific codes, and relevant international engineering standards.
• Provide technical oversight during project execution, equipment integration, testing, commissioning, and handover.
• Represent Neurair in major international client meetings, technical reviews, and strategic project engagements.
• Travel internationally as required to support project delivery and engineering operations.

Engineering Procurement & Supplier Governance

• Establish engineering procurement strategies and technical supplier evaluation frameworks.
• Oversee technical procurement support for major mechanical, electrical, and advanced cooling equipment.
• Lead technical reviews of equipment specifications, vendor proposals, and supplier qualifications.
• Collaborate with procurement and commercial teams on strategic sourcing, equipment selection, and supplier negotiations.
• Oversee value engineering, cost optimization, technical risk assessments, and procurement-related engineering decisions.
• Develop strategic relationships with global OEMs, equipment manufacturers, and technology partners.
• Ensure equipment procurement aligns with technical requirements, project budgets, delivery schedules, and long-term infrastructure reliability.

Project Delivery & Executive Management

• Oversee engineering programs from concept development through detailed design, procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Manage engineering resources, technical budgets, project schedules, and engineering deliverables.
• Establish engineering performance indicators, reporting frameworks, and accountability standards.
• Collaborate with executive leadership on business strategy, engineering investments, organizational development, and international project opportunities.
• Support strategic project pursuits, technical-commercial evaluations, and major client engagements.
• Ensure engineering execution meets quality, safety, reliability, and performance expectations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Typically 15+ years of progressive engineering experience, including substantial senior leadership responsibility.
• Proven experience in hyperscale data centers, AI infrastructure, high-performance computing, or mission-critical engineering.
• Demonstrated experience overseeing complex engineering projects across multiple countries or international markets.
• Strong track record leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and geographically distributed technical organizations.
• Deep technical understanding of advanced cooling, liquid cooling, critical power, and integrated data center infrastructure.
• Experience overseeing engineering procurement, supplier technical evaluations, and major equipment selection.
• Strong commercial awareness, strategic planning, and executive decision-making capabilities.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-cultural leadership skills.
• Willingness to undertake international travel as required.

PREFERRED EXPERTISE

• Engineering leadership in hyperscale or AI data center infrastructure.
• Multi-country engineering project oversight and international infrastructure delivery.
• High-density GPU computing, direct-to-chip liquid cooling, and advanced thermal management.
• Critical power architecture and mission-critical infrastructure integration.
• Global engineering procurement and strategic supplier management.
• Experience building and scaling engineering organizations.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or relevant advanced engineering credentials.
