Singlife was subsequently acquired by Sumitomo Life in March 2024, one of Japan’s leading life insurers, which valued Singlife at S$4.6 billion, making the transaction one of the largest insurance deals in Southeast Asia.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Achieve individual business/sales targets by driving partners productivity.
- Monitor sales pipelines and maintain accurate forecasting.
- Identify and develop bancassurance new business opportunities in both onshore and offshore to drive revenue growth.
- Develop and execute business development plans aligned with company objectives.
- Promote the company’s products and solutions to partners and clients.
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitive developments, and evolving advisor needs.
- Support trainings, campaigns, seminars, and client engagement events.
Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned partners and key accounts.
- Improve advisor engagement, efficiency, and sales effectiveness.
- Address partners’ enquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure a positive experience.
- Conduct regular meetings and business reviews with partners.
- Provide ongoing support, training, and product updates to partners.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure all business activities comply with MAS regulations and internal policies.
- Maintain proper documentation and records of business activities.
- Adhere to company risk management and compliance standards.
Key Requirements
- 8 years of experience in business development, sales or account management.
- Experience in insurance, financial services, wealth management, or banking.
- Proven track record in achieving sales targets and building strong business relationships.
- Relevant industry certifications, including CMFAS Papers - RES5/M9/M9A/HI
- Strong knowledge for life insurance products (e.g., whole life, ILP, IUL)
