Full Time Cloud Operations Engineer Jobs, Salary up to MYR 12,000 in Virtual Calibre Federal Territory - Maukerja

The Senior Cloud Operations Engineer will be responsible for the hands-on operation, reliability and support of the customer AWS environment.

The role will take a primary role in BAU cloud operations, incident resolution, service requests, monitoring and infrastructure changes, while acting as an escalation point for junior Cloud Operations engineers.

This role will work closely with the Cloud Operations Lead, CCOE, application teams and external vendors.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day AWS cloud BAU operational activities.
• Handle and coordinate cloud-related incidents and service requests.
• Perform L1/L2 troubleshooting and provide escalation support to junior Cloud Operations engineers.
• Monitor cloud infrastructure health, availability, capacity and performance.
• Investigate CloudWatch alerts, infrastructure issues and service degradation.
• Implement approved AWS infrastructure changes.
• Maintain and execute Terraform / Infrastructure-as-Code changes.
• Support EC2, VPC, load balancers, S3, RDS, EKS/ECR, Lambda and other AWS services.
• Perform IAM and access-related operational activities based on approved controls.
• Support AWS Security Hub remediation and cloud security hardening.
• Perform patching and maintenance activities.
• Support backup/restore operations and validate backup status.
• Participate in Disaster Recovery preparation, execution and validation.
• Support application onboarding, cloud migration and production go-live activities.
• Maintain operational runbooks, SOPs and technical documentation.
• Support tagging, resource cleanup and AWS cost optimisation activities.
• Coordinate with application teams/vendors when infrastructure changes require application testing.
• Provide operational guidance and support to junior Cloud Operations team members.
• Escalate complex technical or operational issues to the Cloud Operations Lead / relevant specialists.

Experience supporting a 24×7 production AWS environment would be highly desirable.

Candidate Profile

• Approximately 3+ years infrastructure/cloud operations experience.
• Strong hands-on AWS production support experience.
• Experience working within incident, service request and change-management processes.
• Able to troubleshoot independently and coordinate with application/infrastructure teams.
• Experience mentoring or supporting junior engineers.

Pay: RM8,000.00 - RM12,000.00 per month
