Applicants must possess native or near-native fluency Mandarin in spoken along with advanced, professional working proficiency in English (C1 level). While no prior interpretation experience is required, candidates must be willing and available to complete a comprehensive three-week paid training program prior to handling live sessions. Strong verbal communication, active listening, and accurate note-taking capabilities are essential. In addition, candidates must commit to an eight-hour daily full-time schedule aligned with US night-shift and graveyard hours, operating from a quiet, dedicated home environment equipped with a capable desktop or laptop PC, stable high-speed internet, and a certified USB noise-canceling headset.

The primary responsibility is delivering accurate, real-time consecutive Over-the-Phone Interpretation (OPI) between Mandarin and English speakers across various customer service and general healthcare inquiries. Appointees must facilitate seamless communication without omissions, additions, or alterations, while consistently upholding high standards of professionalism, neutrality, and telephone etiquette. Strict compliance with data confidentiality, privacy protocols, and established client operating procedures is required throughout all interactions. Furthermore, interpreters are expected to actively participate in quality evaluations and successfully complete all onboarding curriculum milestones to maintain call quality standards.
