Job Description

Responsibilities

Lead Enterprise Architect

Role Overview

The successful candidate will lead the enterprise-wide architecture strategy, ensuring that technology investments, platforms, and transformation initiatives support business growth, digital innovation, operational resilience, and regulatory compliance.

This role requires a senior technology executive with substantial experience in banking, financial services, financial technology (FinTech), or insurance, ideally gained within large, complex, and highly regulated institutions. The individual must have a strong track record of leading enterprise architecture, technology modernization, and strategic transformation across multiple business and technology domains.

Key Qualifications and Industry Requirements

  • Extensive experience in enterprise architecture, technology strategy, or architecture-led transformation, with a demonstrated track record of senior leadership in large-scale organizations.
  • Strong industry background in banking, financial services, FinTech, or insurance is mandatory. Candidates must demonstrate meaningful experience within one or more of these sectors, rather than exposure limited to technology vendors serving financial institutions.
  • Proven experience leading enterprise architecture or equivalent enterprise-wide architecture functions within a bank, financial institution, digital financial services provider, insurance company, or established FinTech organization.
  • Deep understanding of financial services technology ecosystems, including relevant platforms such as core banking, digital banking, payments, lending, wealth management, insurance platforms, policy administration, claims, or financial transaction processing, depending on prior industry exposure.
  • Demonstrated experience translating business and regulatory requirements into enterprise architecture strategies, technology roadmaps, and scalable platform designs.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture governance, technology risk, cybersecurity, data protection, business continuity, disaster recovery, and operational resilience within regulated environments.
  • Experience leading complex legacy modernization, enterprise integration, cloud adoption, platform transformation, and technology rationalization initiatives.
  • Ability to engage with C-suite executives, business heads, technology leaders, risk and compliance functions, and other senior stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF and ArchiMate is an advantage.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. A master's degree or relevant executive education is an advantage.

Preferred Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A strong career foundation and leadership track record within banking, financial services, FinTech, or insurance.
  • Experience overseeing architecture across multiple enterprise domains, rather than specializing exclusively in infrastructure, applications, or individual solution delivery.
  • Exposure to complex financial services environments involving mission-critical systems, high transaction volumes, sensitive customer and financial data, stringent security requirements, and regulatory oversight.
  • A proven ability to balance business growth, technology innovation, architectural integrity, cost optimization, and enterprise risk.
  • Executive presence and the ability to influence enterprise-wide technology decisions and lead transformation at scale.
