Responsibilities
Job Summary
The security analyst analyses cybersecurity events, enhances threat detection, and leads incident response to contain security incidents in collaboration with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Improve threat detection capabilities by analysing incidents and identifying gaps in security controls
Maintain and optimize detection capabilities for the Security Operations Center (SOC)
Analyse large datasets and correlate information from multiple sources to identify root causes of security incidents
Enhance and update SOC detection and response playbooks to improve operational effectiveness
Lead incident response efforts to minimize the impact of security incidents on the organization
Collaborate effectively with IT infrastructure teams, application owners, and business units to ensure secure operations
Preferred competencies and qualifications
Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in information security technologies
Understanding of cyber adversaries’ tactics, techniques, and procedures
Experience in the insurance or financial industry
Industry certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or GIAC
Experience using Splunk for data analysis
Ability to analyse and process large datasets efficiently
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Willingness to learn and work collaboratively in a team environment
