Automotive Technician – CARSOME

About the Opportunity

Our client is looking for an experienced Automotive Technician to join the team at CARSOME Certified Lab (CCL). This role is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and safety.

The successful candidate will also assist with vehicle pre-inspections, identify Body & Paint issues, document vehicle conditions, and provide technical recommendations to support the refurbishment process.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicle engines, mechanical systems, and electrical components to accurately diagnose problems.
• Perform vehicle pre-inspections upon arrival at CARSOME Certified Lab (CCL) and identify mechanical, electrical, Body & Paint, and other vehicle issues.
• Document vehicle conditions, symptoms, and technical findings, providing clear comments and reports to support the Body & Paint technical team.
• Conduct diagnostic tests on engines, transmissions, and other vehicle components using appropriate diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including fluid replacement, lubrication, and other preventive maintenance tasks.
• Conduct vehicle test drives to identify issues and verify the effectiveness of repairs.
• Repair or replace damaged, worn, or malfunctioning vehicle components to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Recommend appropriate repair procedures based on inspection findings, technical manuals, and diagnostic results.
• Provide accurate estimates of repair costs, required time, and resources.
• Advise on future maintenance requirements and proper vehicle care.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, maintenance activities, and technical findings.
• Ensure all tools, equipment, and workshop machinery are properly maintained and in good working condition.
• Follow workshop safety procedures and maintain high standards of workmanship in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Minimum MLVK Level 3 certification or equivalent qualification in Automotive Engineering.
• Valid driving license is compulsory.
• Minimum 2 years of working experience in automotive repair or a related workshop environment.
• Experience in automotive after-sales service and vehicle repair.
• Familiarity with car workshop operations and repair procedures.
• Proficient in operating automotive machinery, workshop equipment, and vehicle diagnostic tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrates commitment, integrity, and a proactive working attitude.
• Good communication skills and the ability to prepare accurate technical reports.
