Job Description
Responsibilities
Assist the chef with daily food preparation and kitchen operations.
Prepare vegetables, meat, chicken, seafood, and other ingredients for Western dishes.
Assist with preparing steaks, grilled meats, burgers, pasta, salads, sandwiches, and other Western food items.
Perform basic food preparation such as cutting, peeling, slicing, portioning, and marinating.
Assist the chef with grilling, frying, baking, and other cooking preparations when required.
Prepare sauces, dressings, and other ingredients according to the restaurant's recipes.
Ensure food is prepared according to the required quality and portion standards.
Assist the kitchen team during busy lunch and dinner service.
Wash dishes, pots, pans, trays, and kitchen utensils.
Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, workstations, and food preparation areas.
Assist with receiving, checking, and storing food ingredients.
Follow proper food hygiene, food safety, and workplace safety procedures.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen at all times.
Perform opening and closing kitchen duties.
Carry out other kitchen duties assigned by the chef or supervisor.
Requirements
Previous experience in a Western restaurant or kitchen is preferred.
Experience with Western cuisine, BBQ, or grill preparation is an advantage.
Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations.
Able to follow recipes and instructions.
Able to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment.
Responsible, hardworking, and willing to learn.
Good personal hygiene and food safety awareness.
Physically fit and able to stand for long periods.
Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
