Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Procurement Manager to lead our procurement function and support the company's business growth. This role is responsible for developing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, optimizing procurement costs, ensuring uninterrupted material supply, managing project procurement activities to support successful project execution, and maintaining compliance with company policies.

Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Procurement

• Lead and manage all procurement activities to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality purchasing for operational and project requirements.
• Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with the company's operational, project, and business objectives.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor procurement trends, market conditions, and pricing to ensure competitiveness.

Supplier & Vendor Management

• Build, evaluate, and maintain a high-performing supplier network.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, payment terms, and commercial agreements to achieve the best value for the company.
• Conduct periodic supplier performance evaluations covering quality, delivery, responsiveness, cost, and compliance.
• Develop alternative suppliers to reduce supply chain risks and dependency on single-source vendors.
• Manage project-specific suppliers and subcontractors to ensure alignment with project requirements, technical specifications, delivery schedules, and contractual obligations.

Operational Excellence

• Collaborate closely with Production, Business Development, Finance, and Projects department to ensure timely material availability.
• Monitor inventory levels and procurement lead times to prevent production delays, stock shortages, and project disruptions.
• Oversee import and export activities, customs clearance, shipping documentation, and regulatory compliance.
• Resolve supplier-related issues promptly to minimize operational and project disruptions.

Governance & Compliance

• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, procurement procedures, ISO 9001 Quality Management System, and ISO 37001 Anti-Bribery Management System (ABMS).
• Promote ethical procurement practices and ensure compliance with conflict of interest, gift & hospitality, and anti-bribery requirements.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure full traceability of procurement decisions.

Leadership & Performance

• Lead, mentor, and develop the Procurement team to achieve departmental objectives.
• Monitor procurement KPIs and prepare periodic reports for Management.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement efficiency, supplier performance, and project procurement effectiveness.
• Support cross-functional projects and contribute to overall business growth.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of procurement experience in a manufacturing and/or project-based environment.
• Strong negotiation, supplier management, and strategic sourcing skills.
• Experience in import & export procedures, customs documentation, and project-related procurement activities.
• Experience managing procurement for project-based requirements, technical, engineering, or construction is an advantage.
• Experience in ISO 9001 Quality Management System & ISO 37001 Anti-Bribery Management System (ABMS) is an advantage.

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
