Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Java Developer to join a dynamic software development team responsible for building, enhancing and supporting enterprise web applications.

The successful candidate will be involved in application development, system integration, technical troubleshooting and software deployment. This role offers opportunities to collaborate with experienced developers, architects and project stakeholders to deliver reliable, secure and scalable technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance and maintain enterprise web applications using Java/J2EE technologies.
• Participate in application design, coding, unit testing and implementation activities.
• Work closely with senior developers, solution architects and project teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Develop and maintain application interfaces and integrations with internal and external systems.
• Troubleshoot application defects, investigate technical issues and implement effective resolutions.
• Write clean, maintainable and efficient code following established development standards.
• Support application testing, release packaging and deployment activities.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, system specifications and user guides.
• Participate in requirements gathering, technical discussions and development effort estimation.
• Collaborate with team members to improve application performance, security and usability.
• Support ongoing application enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on software development experience, preferably in Java-based applications.
• Strong programming knowledge of Java/J2EE and relevant Java frameworks or SDKs.
• Experience in frontend or backend web application development.
• Good understanding of relational databases such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server or MySQL.
• Exposure to NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
• Familiarity with application frameworks and integration technologies, including REST APIs, MVC and Hibernate.
• Working knowledge of JavaScript and frontend technologies such as Angular, React or other JavaScript frameworks.
• Understanding of software development methodologies, testing practices and application deployment processes.
• Knowledge of web application security, browser compatibility and application performance optimization.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a project team.

Added Advantages

• Experience with .NET development.
• Exposure to Node.js, AngularJS or Knockout.js.
• Experience deploying applications on AWS cloud environments.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Knowledge of Java-based mobile application development.
• Relevant Java, React or software development certifications.
