Our client is a leading M&E contractor with a strong track record delivering complex projects across Data Centers, Airports, Semiconductor, Pharmaceutical, Commercial, Industrial and Mixed-Use Developments. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive new business opportunities and strengthen relationships with key clients, consultants, developers, and contractors.

About the Role

A leading engineering and construction firm is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth across multiple sectors, including Data Centers, Airports, Semiconductor, Pharmaceutical, Commercial Buildings, Mixed-Use Developments, Industrial Facilities, and Critical Infrastructure projects.

This role will focus on identifying new business opportunities, building strategic client relationships, and expanding the company's project pipeline across Singapore and selected regional markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new project opportunities across the built environment and mission-critical infrastructure sectors.
• Build and maintain relationships with developers, end-users, consultants, architects, engineers, EPCs, main contractors and key industry stakeholders.
• Develop and execute business development strategies to support long-term growth objectives.
• Engage clients early in the project lifecycle to strengthen positioning for future tenders and project awards.
• Monitor market trends, upcoming developments, capital investment plans and competitor activities.
• Collaborate closely with senior management, tendering and project teams to develop winning pursuit strategies.
• Represent the company at industry events, networking functions and client meetings.
• Maintain an active pipeline of opportunities and provide regular market intelligence and business updates.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Building Services, Construction Management, Business or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in business development, account management, project pursuit or commercial roles within the M&E construction industry.
• Prior experience working for an M&E contractor is essential.
• Strong understanding of construction project lifecycles, procurement methods and tendering processes.
• Established network within the construction, engineering and infrastructure sectors in Singapore.
• Experience supporting projects within one or more of the following sectors:
• Data Centers
• Semiconductor
• Pharmaceutical
• Healthcare
• Airports
• Commercial Buildings
• Industrial Facilities
• Mixed-Use Developments
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and negotiation skills.

We are looking for a commercially driven individual with strong industry relationships and a proven ability to identify opportunities, influence project pursuits and drive revenue growth. Candidates should possess a solid understanding of the M&E contracting landscape and be comfortable engaging with senior decision-makers across developers, consultants, contractors and end-users.
