Full Time Electrical Inspector of Work (IOW) - Building Construction Jobs, Salary up to MYR 4,000 in Kaniza Shafie Architect Pahang - Maukerja

Inter-Granite Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a suitable Electrical Inspector or Work (IOW) to join our project team. The role is primarily responsible for site inspection, quality monitoring, technical coordination, testing and commissioning, and project documentation for electrical works throughout the project lifecycle, from site execution through project completion and handover.

Job Responsibilities

• Inspect and monitor electrical installation works on site to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, relevant JKR/local authority requirements, and project quality standards.
• Monitor the quality and progress of electrical works and identify discrepancies, defects, and non-compliance for rectification.
• Review and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, method statements, and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
• Conduct regular site inspections and ensure electrical works are carried out in accordance with approved technical requirements and project specifications.
• Coordinate and witness electrical testing, inspections, testing & commissioning (T&C), and rectification works.
• Liaise with Consultants, Contractors, Subcontractors, Suppliers, and Clients on electrical-related technical and site matters.
• Monitor site progress and coordinate electrical works with other disciplines to ensure works are executed according to the project programme.
• Maintain proper inspection records, site reports, testing records, progress documentation, and other project-related documents.
• Assist in reviewing electrical material submissions, technical submissions, samples, and relevant documentation where required.
• Prepare and update electrical drawings in AutoCAD based on site conditions, consultant instructions, and project requirements.
• Assist with preparation and verification of as-built drawings, testing & commissioning records, defects lists, and handover documentation.
• Perform other electrical site inspection and coordination duties as assigned by the Project Director, Consultants, or Project Team.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering / Electrical & Electronic Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in electrical site inspection, supervision, QA/QC, or project coordination.
• Experience as an Electrical Inspector of Works (IOW), Electrical Site Engineer, Electrical Site Supervisor, or equivalent will be an advantage.
• Candidates who have practical experience in building/project electrical works, site inspection, testing & commissioning, and project completion/handover are also at advantage.
• Able to read, interpret, and verify electrical drawings, specifications, method statements, and technical documents.
• Knowledge of QA/QC procedures, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), testing records, NCR/defect rectification, and site documentation is preferred.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and basic computer applications.
• Good communication and coordination skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with Consultants, Contractors, Subcontractors, Suppliers, and Clients.
• Able to work independently on site and carry out regular site inspections.

Preferred Candidate Profile

We are looking for candidates with an engineering/project/site-based background, particularly those experienced in electrical inspection, supervision, QA/QC, testing & commissioning, and project handover.

This position is not intended primarily for candidates whose experience is limited to electrical installation, wiring, ACMV installation, maintenance, or technician-level works.
