How you can make an impact
In our
Liquid Handling Service Centre
in Singapore, you help ensure that our customers’ pipettes work with the precision they rely on every day. Together with your colleagues in Service Calibration, you keep our lab customers’ instruments in top condition – so they can focus on their science.
You
perform pipette calibration and repair services
efficiently and accurately, ensuring that all work meets our internal quality standards and supports high customer satisfaction.
By
completing calibration and repair jobs according to documented policies, SOPs, relevant standards and work instructions
, you help us maintain consistently reliable results for customers.
In close collaboration with the Quality Manager, you
support our ISO/IEC 17025-compliant quality management system (QMS)
by following laboratory procedures, coaching and training calibration technicians and ensuring that all required QMS documentation is filed correctly.
For every job, you
prepare complete and accurate job sheets
, including details on work carried out, time spent, parts used, issues found and the final status of the equipment, and you issue a
calibration report
for each completed job.
You
respond to customer enquiries about calibration services
, provide status updates on ongoing work when needed and contribute to positive, service-oriented customer interactions.
By
supporting an efficient and harmonious work environment
in the calibration laboratory, you address day-to-day issues where possible and escalate relevant topics to the Service Manager when required.
You
submit warranty claims for relevant products and help to replenish the laboratory’s inventory
of Eppendorf and non-Eppendorf liquid handling spare parts and consumables, so that the team can work without interruption.
What sets you apart
You bring a
degree in a scientific or engineering discipline
, or a comparable qualification, and ideally at least
two years of experience working in a laboratory setting
, giving you a solid understanding of lab workflows and liquid handling instruments.
A
good understanding of ISO/IEC 17025 requirements
and quality management practices enables you to work confidently within our accredited calibration laboratory environment.
You
work with fundamental mathematical and statistical concepts
such as standard deviation, mean values and percentages with ease, and you apply these skills when evaluating calibration results.
Strong
PC skills (Excel, Word, CRM systems, databases)
help you document work precisely, manage data accurately and support efficient daily operations.
You are
independent and results-oriented
, able to organize your work with minimal supervision while still collaborating closely with colleagues across the Service Department and the wider Eppendorf organization.
In your daily work, you
build trust through honest and clear communication
, respond reliably to customer and internal requests and help to create an environment where colleagues can rely on each other.
When processes or requirements are not yet fully defined, you
stay calm in ambiguous situations, look for practical solutions and suggest improvements
, contributing to ongoing optimization of our service offering.
