Coordinates, analyzes, or leads logistics activities across an assigned region to ensure goods move safely, reliably, and cost-effectively. Works with warehouses, carriers, suppliers, customs brokers, distribution teams, and local business units to plan shipments and resolve delivery issues. Supports regional service requirements while taking account of local operating conditions, transport capacity, regulations, and customer needs.

A Regional Logistics Executive typically coordinates shipments, delivery schedules, carrier bookings, documentation, and issue resolution across locations. A Regional Logistics Analyst analyzes transport, inventory, service, and cost data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities to improve performance. A Regional Logistics Manager leads regional operations and teams, sets service and cost priorities, manages key logistics partners, and ensures that regional plans align with wider supply chain objectives.

Responsibilities may include monitoring inbound and outbound shipments, reviewing route and carrier performance, coordinating capacity, and supporting inventory transfers between sites. For cross-border movements, the role may coordinate with customs and trade specialists to ensure required documents and processes are completed. Tracks measures such as on-time delivery, transit time, freight cost, damage, shipment accuracy, and service levels, then works with teams and providers to address performance gaps.

Helps manage logistics budgets, forecasts, carrier agreements, and operational risks. Identifies potential disruptions such as weather events, port delays, capacity shortages, or supplier issues, and supports contingency plans to protect continuity of supply. Recommends improvements to routing, consolidation, carrier mix, shipment visibility, and logistics processes. Manager-level roles may also oversee regional teams, budgets, vendor negotiations, compliance practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business, operations, or a related field
• Experience in logistics, transportation, distribution, freight coordination, or supply chain operations
• Understanding of transport planning, carrier management, warehousing, shipment documentation, and delivery processes
• Familiarity with regional or cross-border logistics and customs coordination is an asset
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret transport costs, service data, and operational KPIs
• Proficiency with spreadsheets and logistics, transportation, warehouse, or ERP systems
• Good organization and follow-up skills for coordinating multiple shipments, providers, and deadlines
• Clear communication and relationship-management skills when working with carriers, suppliers, warehouses, and internal teams
• Ability to investigate delays, service failures, and cost variances and coordinate practical solutions
• Attention to detail when reviewing shipment records, invoices, schedules, and logistics documents
• Awareness of relevant safety, trade, customs, and transport requirements for the region
• Ability to manage changing priorities and respond effectively to operational disruptions
• Team leadership, budget management, and carrier negotiation experience may be required for manager-level roles
• Relevant qualifications such as CILT, APICS/ASCM, or equivalent logistics training are an asset
• Experience with the relevant region, transport modes, industry, or product category is beneficial
