POSTGRADUATE RESEARCH OPPORTUNITY

Fuel Cell Institute (SELFUEL), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM)

We are seeking motivated Malaysian candidates to pursue postgraduate research at the Fuel Cell Institute (SELFUEL), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM).

Available Positions:

• Master of Science (Research Mode)
• Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)

Research Areas:
Potential research topics include:

• Hydrogen production, including ammonia-based hydrogen production
• Hydrogen purification and membrane technology
• Advanced materials for hydrogen and energy applications
• Integrated hydrogen production, purification and storage systems
• Material synthesis, characterisation and performance evaluation

Requirements:

• Malaysian citizen
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science or related fields for Master’s applicants
• Relevant Master’s degree for PhD applicants
• Strong interest in experimental research and laboratory work
• Self-motivated, responsible and able to work independently and as part of a research team
• Good communication and scientific writing skills
• Willing to register as a full-time postgraduate student at UKM

Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) Support:
Monthly research allowance is available, subject to project requirements, grant availability and satisfactory research progress.

Indicative allowance:

• Master: RM1,500/month, up to 24 months
• PhD: RM2,000/month, up to 36 months

Successful candidates will have opportunities to participate in research publications, innovation activities, research collaborations and relevant academic programmes at SELFUEL.
