Full Time Fine Wine Specialist-Sommelier Jobs, in Vinum Fine Wines Central Region (Singapore) - Maukerja

Candidate will handle the following day-to-day and ad hoc duties, including but not limited to:

Client Experience & Wine Advisory

·        Engage clients to understand preferences, occasions, menu choices and budgets, and provide suitable wine recommendations.

·        Explain regions, producers, grape varieties, vintages, styles, provenance, storage and serving considerations in a clear and approachable manner.

·        Deliver attentive, discreet and personalized service for walk-in clients, collectors, corporate customers and private appointments.

·        Handle client feedback and service-recovery matters professionally, escalating significant concerns when required.

Wine Sales

·        Support boutique sales objectives through consultative recommendations, cross-selling, gifting solutions and appropriate follow-up.

·        Maintain accurate client preferences, purchase interests and follow-up activities in approved systems.

·        Promote relevant releases, events, tastings, offers and allocated wines in line with Company guidance.

·        Contribute to conversion, average transaction value, repeat-client activity and other agreed retail measures.

Experiential Zones, Tastings & Events

·        Host or support tastings, masterclasses, producer visits, private events, launches and wine education sessions.

·        Prepare wines, glassware, equipment, tasting materials and service stations, and ensure a smooth guest journey.

·        Present wines confidently and accurately, encourage appropriate client engagement and support post-event commercial follow-up.

·        Support Experiential Zone operations from 6.00pm to 11.00pm, including setup, service, closing and handover.

Wine Service & Preservation

·        Present, open, decant, pour and serve wines using appropriate techniques and glassware.

·        Monitor serving temperatures, opened bottles and wines preserved using approved systems such as Coravin.

·        Inspect bottle condition and report cork taint, leakage, ullage concerns, breakage or other quality issues promptly.

·        Follow approved practices for the handling, storage and preservation of fine and rare wines.

Cellar, Inventory & Stock Control

·        Assist with receiving, checking, labelling, shelving, stock rotation, replenishment, transfers and regular stock counts.

·        Maintain orderly storage areas and accurate stock records, and report discrepancies, damage, spoilage or slow-moving items.

·        Support controls for samples, tasting stock, complimentary items, returns, wastage and high-value bottles.

·        Provide product availability and stock movement information to the Boutique Manager and relevant teams.

Merchandising & Product Knowledge

·        Maintain accurate price labels, bottle information, displays, promotional materials and product stories.

·        Ensure boutique shelves and featured displays remain well presented, commercially relevant and aligned with brand standards.

·        Maintain current knowledge of the boutique portfolio, new releases, vintage variation, market trends and emerging producers.

·        Share product knowledge and service guidance with colleagues through briefings and practical coaching.
