Full Time Technician, Facilities Maintenance Jobs, in Sime Darby Property Federal Territory - Maukerja

Job Purpose

Support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of KL East Mall by maintaining building facilities and responding promptly to breakdowns, defects, and tenant technical requests.

Job Responsibilities

• Inspect, operate and maintain building services, including electrical systems, air conditioning and mechanical ventilation (ACMV), plumbing, fire protection and other facilities.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance according to approved schedules and procedures.
• Troubleshoot faults and attend to breakdowns, water leaks and tenant technical complaints.
• Monitor equipment performance and report defects, recurring issues and required repairs to the supervisor.
• Coordinate and supervise maintenance contractors, ensuring work meets safety, quality and operational requirements.
• Support tenant fit-out works, mall events, inspections and planned shutdowns.
• Respond to facilities emergencies and assist with restoring services safely.
• Maintain inspection records, maintenance checklists, equipment readings, logbooks and work reports.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and reduce energy and water consumption.
• Perform electrical or Chargeman duties only within the scope of the competency certification held and the authorization given.
• Carry out other facilities-related duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience

• Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services or a related technical field.
• Minimum three years of relevant experience in facilities or building maintenance.
• Suruhanjaya Tenaga Chargeman A1 or A0 competency certification is preferred.
• Experience in a shopping mall, commercial building, hotel or large facility will be an advantage.

Skills and Competencies

• Practical knowledge of electrical systems, ACMV, plumbing, fire protection, and general building maintenance.
• Ability to troubleshoot faults and carry out repairs safely.
• Good teamwork, communication and contractor coordination skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and follow maintenance procedures.
• Customer-focused approach when assisting tenants and supporting mall operations.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays, and attend emergency call-outs when required.
