Full Time Microsoft Defender for Servers Engineer Jobs, in Argyll Scott - Maukerja

Microsoft Defender for Servers, Azure Arc, SentinelOne removal, about 2,000 servers in 30 countries. Argyll Scott is hiring a Microsoft Defender for Servers Engineer to join our technology consulting division in Singapore.

You will join Argyll Scott as a consultant on a 6 month project with a global healthcare and medical technology group headquartered in Japan. The group is moving its whole server estate, mostly Windows Server with some Linux, onto Microsoft Defender for Servers through Azure Arc, and retiring SentinelOne along the way.

This is a hands on engineering role. You will own the onboarding wave by wave, fix what breaks, and hand over a stable, documented platform to the support team, working alongside the project manager, the architect and Microsoft resources.

What you will do

- Onboard servers to Microsoft Defender for Servers across agreed waves and validate each one with platform evidence
- Install, configure and register servers in Azure Arc, and resolve connectivity, proxy, authentication and extension issues
- Sequence SentinelOne removal against Defender activation so protection never lapses
- Troubleshoot agent, policy and configuration issues on Windows and Linux servers
- Plan change windows with IT teams across countries and time zones, and escalate to Microsoft support when needed
- Report onboarding status with PowerShell and KQL, and write runbooks and handover documents

What we are looking for

- 8 years or more in infrastructure, server administration or security engineering
- Hands on deployment of Microsoft Defender for Servers or Defender for Endpoint on servers, ideally with Azure Arc
- A security agent rollout or migration you ran yourself across 1,000 servers or more, for example SentinelOne, CrowdStrike, Trend Micro or Symantec
- Strong Windows Server, practical Linux, strong PowerShell, practical KQL
- Comfortable working independently across countries and time zones
- Japanese language, regulated industry experience and Microsoft security certifications are a plus
