A production assistant in a coffee roastery plays a vital role in ensuring smooth operations.

Their responsibilities often include:

Roastery Production

• Assist the head roaster and assistant roaster with daily roasting operations.
• Monitor roasting processes and help maintain consistent coffee quality.
• Assist with cleaning and maintaining roasting equipment and the production area.
• Perform basic quality checks on roasted coffee beans.

Packaging & Inventory

• Weigh, pack, seal, and label coffee beans for retail and wholesale orders.
• Prepare and organise customer orders for delivery.
• Monitor stock levels, update inventory records, and report low stock.
• Ensure all products are properly packed and stored.

Delivery & Distribution

• Deliver coffee beans, products, and supplies to cafés and customers.
• Ensure orders are delivered accurately and on time.
• Assist with stock handling and distribution.

Sales & Business Development

• Proactively approach cafés, restaurants, and potential business customers to introduce our coffee products.
• Build and maintain good relationships with café owners and business partners.
• Promote and sell our coffee beans to retail and wholesale customers.
• Follow up with potential customers and identify new sales opportunities.
• Assist with customer enquiries and provide product recommendations.

Barista & Customer Service

• Prepare and serve coffee to customers when required.
• Assist with coffee preparation, demonstrations, and product sampling.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming workspace.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
