Full Time Extrusion Engineer Jobs, Salary up to SGD 5,000 in Meiban Micro Pte Ltd North-east Region (Singapore) - Maukerja

Our manufacturing team develops andsupports extrusion processes for plastic and medical tubing. The ExtrusionEngineer will support daily production, troubleshoot process issues and improvemanufacturing methods to meet output and quality requirements.

This role suits an engineer with relevant tubing extrusion experience who enjoys practical problem solving, processimprovement and working with technicians, Production, Quality and Maintenance.

Role Purpose

Support and improve assigned extrusion processes through process control, troubleshooting, equipment performancemonitoring and technical documentation. Assist with trials and validation fornew or existing products and transfer approved methods into production.

You will report to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and work with the Senior Extrusion Engineer and cross-functional teams. The role focuses on day-to-day technical execution,sustaining process performance and implementing agreed improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Extrusion Process Engineering and Support

• Monitor extrusion process conditions and product quality. Maintain approved settings and investigate variation affecting tubing dimensions, surface quality and production output.
• Troubleshoot extrusion defectsand perform failure analysis on production rejects and field returns. Work withQuality to verify root causes and corrective actions.
• Develop and improvemanufacturing methods, setup guidance and standardized operating instructions to support consistent extrusion output and quality.
• Coordinate new product orprocess testing with the engineering team. Support trials and collect process and inspection data for technical evaluation.

Validation Change Management and Risk Control

• Prepare and execute equipmentand process validation protocols under the agreed validation plan. Compileresults, deviations and reports for review and approval.
• Maintain processspecifications, parameter sheets and work instructions. Assess proposed changes with the Senior Extrusion Engineer and implement approved changes through site procedures.

Continuous Improvement and Equipment Performance

• Identify and implementimprovements in yield, scrap, downtime, throughput and overall equipmenteffectiveness (OEE). Verify results using production data.
• Monitor and sustain extrusionequipment performance. Establish preventive maintenance schedules with Maintenance and coordinate critical spare parts availability.
• Support equipment setup,maintenance and fault finding within the assigned scope. Escalate recurring equipment or process problems for further technical review.

Compliance and Audit Support

• Review production andengineering records for completeness and compliance, and file them according to site procedures. Maintain traceable trial, validation and change records.
• Follow the site quality system,applicable ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 requirements, customer specifications andequipment safety procedures. Support audits and corrective actioninvestigations.

Cross Functional Coordination and Training

• Train and develop techniciansin approved operating methods, process monitoring and troubleshooting. Reviewdaily performance with technicians and reinforce appropriate responses toabnormalities.
• Work with Production, Qualityand Maintenance to resolve technical issues promptly and communicate changes to the affected teams.

Reporting and Analytics

• Review daily performance reports and track output, rejects, downtime and improvement actions forassigned extrusion processes.
• Prepare monthly technical reports summarizing performance trends, trial results, recurring problems andthe status of corrective and improvement actions.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in plastic or medical tubing extrusion processes.
• Knowledge of extrusion processcontrol and the relationship between process conditions, equipment performanceand finished tubing quality.
• Able to interpret production data, investigate problems and prepare clear technical records and workinstructions.
• Able to work with technicians and cross-functional teams and support production troubleshooting on site.

Preferred Attributes

• Hands-on experience with extrusion equipment setup, maintenance, preventive maintenance planning andspare parts coordination.
• Experience with medical tubing,controlled manufacturing environments, ISO 13485 documentation or equipment and process validation.
• Experience improving OEE, yield or scrap through structured problem solving and technician training.
