Job Description

Requirements

The Quality & Warehouse Technician, under direction of supervision, will plan, set up and utilise a wide range of inspection equipment (e.g. portable coordinate measuring machine), processes, procedures, and applications to inspect all types of parts, assemblies, tools and fixtures.

The position plays the role in maintaining the quality of Dedienne Aerospace’s products, therefore critical in upholding its brand and ethics.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct incoming product and material inspections to verify compliance with purchase orders, technical specifications, drawings, and applicable quality requirements.

  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine product acceptance criteria.

  • Perform visual, dimensional, mechanical, and material inspections using appropriate inspection equipment such as Portable Coordinate Measuring Machines, OD & ID Micrometers, Vernier Calipers, Brinell Hardness Testing Machines, and other measuring tools.

  • Program and operate Portable Coordinate Measuring Machines to inspect parts received from suppliers.

  • Perform positive material identification, testing, measuring, and other verification activities as required.

  • Prepare inspection reports and document inspection results, findings, and non-conformances.

  • Support investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for quality issues and non-conforming materials.

  • Support internal and external audits, customer audits, and regulatory inspections as required.

  • Maintain proper control, filing, traceability, and retention of quality assurance documentation and inspection records.

  • Ensure inspection tools and measuring equipment are maintained in good working condition and suitable for reliable use.

  • Identify, tag, and segregate incoming materials requiring inspection or further quality review.

  • Receive, verify, identify, and locate incoming stock and non-stock materials in appropriate bin locations or designated storage areas.

  • Determine appropriate storage methods and locations based on material type, dimensions, weight, turnover, floor-loading capacity, space availability, and handling requirements.

  • Pick and deliver requested materials based on electronic pick lists, work requests, or urgent requirements using appropriate manual handling methods, order pickers, or forklifts.

  • Pack stock and non-stock materials in accordance with established procedures and shipping requirements.

  • Arrange and process outbound shipments, returns, and non-conforming materials via air, sea, or land freight in accordance with established procedures.

  • Support the planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of warehouse, logistics, inspection, and quality-related processes.

  • Prepare, review, and improve process flows, work instructions, and operational reports relating to warehouse, logistics, inspection, and quality activities.
