Job Description

Responsibilities

As a Gameplay & UI Engineer, you'll design how people and AI agents work together inside Launchpad. You'll own the interface layer end to end, from interaction design and real-time feedback through dynamic, agent-generated UI and mobile, and bring the instincts of great game development to the next generation of enterprise software.

About Mission Systems

Mission Systems is the AI arm of Mission Group, based in Singapore. We build Launchpad, a unified AI agent platform where agents work alongside people. We serve real-world operating industries such as food and hospitality, logistics, transportation and aviation, and manufacturing. Our first client was our sister company, Mission Hospitality, and we now serve several large enterprise clients across APAC.

Why we're hiring from games

We think the future is moving towards an agent economy, where AI agents work collaboratively alongside humans. One of the biggest challenges in creating this future is the interface between a person and an agent. How does an agent show what it's doing? When does it ask for help? How do you correct it in one tap? Game studios have been solving versions of this for decades with HUDs, onboarding and believable NPCs. We want that thinking at the core of how people work with agents.

What you'll do

  • Design and build how people and agents interact in Launchpad: how an agent shows its intent and progress, hands work back, and takes correction.
  • Build our dynamic UI system, where agents assemble interfaces at runtime from a component library for the task at hand.
  • Define the component library and the rules agents follow when composing it, so generated screens stay readable, consistent and fast.
  • Build the Launchpad mobile app: glanceable, fast and reliable on the move.
  • Own the feel: latency, feedback, animation and state transitions.
  • Make onboarding feel like a good first level, so users are productive in minutes without training.
  • Prototype quickly, test with real users, instrument everything and iterate like a live game.
  • Apply game AI thinking (behaviour trees, utility AI, simulation) to make agent behaviour legible and predictable.

Who we're looking for

You come from games, ideally from a notable studio, and you've shipped titles people love. You see that the future of software looks more like a game than a spreadsheet, and that persistent, evolving agents are the NPCs of the workplace. Further:

  • You've shipped gameplay or UI systems in production titles, and you know what it takes to make something feel right, not just work.
  • You have a deep instinct for game feel. You can explain exactly why something feels off, and fix it.
  • You understand game AI and simulation, and you have a strong intuition for where AI agents are heading.
  • You're always building. There's a prototype, a mod or a side project you're tinkering with right now.
  • You think creatively and from first principles, and you have exceptional taste in interaction and visual design.
  • You work closely with designers and artists, and you bring your own ideas to the table.
  • You own outcomes, not tickets.

Minimum Requirements

  • Game development experience, ideally at a notable studio (AAA or a top mobile or indie studio), with at least one shipped title.
  • Strong fundamentals in C++, C# or TypeScript, and willingness to work across web and mobile (TS/JS/React, NextJS).
  • A portfolio or GitHub showing what you've built. The funkier the better.
  • Plus points: UI or tools programming, live-service or mobile games, procedural or data-driven UI.
  • Plus points: hands-on experience building with LLMs or agent frameworks.

Why join

  • Your instincts are the job. Feedback, feel and onboarding are the core of this role, not an afterthought.
  • NPCs are becoming coworkers. How agents signal intent and earn trust is a game design problem, and you get to work on it early.
  • New ground. Agent-assembled interfaces are new, and you'll set the patterns.
  • Ownership. You join a small team with a direct line to the founder and few layers between you and a decision.
  • Competitive Comp & Perks. We pay competitive base salaries plus performance-based bonuses, as well as discounted access across Mission Hospitality's portfolio of brands in Singapore.
