  • Prepare comprehensive Source of Wealth (SOW) assessments and independently corroborate wealth information using documentary evidence and external reliable sources.
  • Review CRS, FATCA and tax documentation to determine fund classifications and reporting obligations.
  • Review and approve KYC/CDD assessments completed by team members, ensuring adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
  • Conduct name screening, background checks and risk assessments in accordance with internal AML/CFT/CPF guidelines
  • Escalate complex ownership structures, AML concerns and regulatory risks for further review and approval.
  • Act as team’s escalation contact for onboarding cases, coordinating with Front Office, Compliance, Legal, Tax and Operations teams to facilitate account opening
  • Track onboarding pipelines and manage outstanding documentation to ensure timely account activation and client readiness.
  • Conduct regular quality assurance reviews and provide constructive feedback to enhance technical competency, accuracy, and consistency across the team.
  • Participate in process improvement discussions and contribute ideas to enhance operational efficiency
  • Support management reporting by providing updates on team performance, onboarding metrics, key risks, escalations, and capacity planning.

Our ideal candidate

  • Above 5 years of relevant experience in KYC/CDD or client on boarding
  • Good understanding of investment fund structures, including hedge funds, mutual funds, fund-of-funds, VCCs, private funds, trusts and SPVs
  • Experience performing KYC reviews and analysing complex ownership and control structures to identify beneficial owners, controlling persons and authorised signatories
  • Knowledge of fund and account opening documentation, including offering memoranda, partnership agreements, trust deeds, board resolutions and constitutional documents
  • Monitor team productivity, onboarding volumes, and turnaround times, ensuring timely completion of account opening requests and achievement of service level commitments.
  • Mature, strong attention to detail, analytical mindset and problem-solving ability with excellent interpersonal skills and a compliance-oriented attitude
  • Effective communication skills and willingness to liaise with both clients and internal stakeholders
