• Lead the drafting, negotiation, and structuring of complex credit facilities, security documentation, and commercial agreements.

• Serve as the principal advisor on statutory requirements, banking regulations, corporate governance, and data protection mandates.

• Oversee corporate dispute resolution, arbitration, and litigation proceedings while managing external legal counsel relationships.

• Formulate internal governance frameworks, credit risk controls, and operational compliance policies to maintain exemplary audit standards.

• Deliver strategic counsel across internal governance committees and provide cross-border legal support across regional operating entities.
  

skills and experience required

• Recognized tertiary qualification in Law with admission to a professional legal bar or relevant statutory legal association.

• Substantial post-qualification experience steering legal affairs within banking, financial services, or regulated institutional sectors.

• In-depth expertise in local banking legislation, central bank regulatory guidelines, lending structures, and collateral security frameworks.

• Proven track record in corporate dispute management, commercial contract negotiation, and senior stakeholder engagement.
