Job Description
Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities includes, but not limited to:
Source and evaluate Suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability
Request and analyse for quotes from Suppliers
Coordinate purchasing activities with Suppliers, Production, Quality and Engineers
Prepare and process purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and track order fulfillment
Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with Suppliers
Maintain strong working relationships with Suppliers
Responsible for negotiating with Suppliers to ensure Company is always in an advantageous position
Responsible for input, accuracy and completeness of database information in Procurement and Supply Chain module (e.g. lead time, inventory turnover, price, etc.)
Monitor stock levels and management replenishment according to MRP to avoid shortages or overstocking
Coordinate with Productions, Sales and Store to align material availability with demand
Monitor the costs and schedules to ensure highest quality at best value
Interact closely with Suppliers and Engineer/QA to resolve quality issues
Plan and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to ensure on-time delivery
Liaise with freight forwarders for import/export matters
Optimise transportation and warehouse operations for cost efficiency
Qualifications:
Degree in Supply Chain Management and at least 3 years’ experience in Supply Chain in similar industry
Familiar with import/export procedures and Incoterms
Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) or similar qualification
ERP and MRP knowledge is required
