Position: IT Lecturer (Computer Systems)

Reports to: Academic Manager

Location : Centerpoint Business Park, Seksyen 26, Shah Alam

Salary Range: RM2500 - RM3500

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate IT Lecturer to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in delivering quality education, supporting student development, and ensuring our programmes remain aligned with industry and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver theoretical and practical lessons in computer systems, IT infrastructure, networking and technical support.
• Conduct hands-on training in computer hardware assembly, installation, configuration and software setup.
• Teach students computer system troubleshooting, hardware repair, preventive maintenance and performance optimisation.
• Provide practical training in server installation, operating system configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Guide students in computer network connectivity setup, network configuration and troubleshooting.
• Conduct practical lessons in mobile device configuration, software installation and connectivity.
• Develop lesson plans, teaching materials, practical assignments and assessments in accordance with JPK/NOSS curriculum requirements.
• Assess students' technical competencies, monitor learning progress and maintain accurate training and assessment records.
• Maintain computer laboratories, servers, networking equipment and training tools to ensure a safe and effective learning environment.
• Mentor students and contribute to their academic progress and overall well-being
• Continuously review and update curriculum content to meet industry and regulatory requirements
• Participate actively in college events, academic activities, and initiatives
• Maintain accurate records by updating relevant systems (e.g., JPK SKKM and internal systems)
• Contribute to the overall management, organisation, discipline, and smooth operations of the college

Job Qualifications & Requirements

• DKM, DLKM, Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Systems, Computer Networking, Computer Hardware, Computer Engineering or other related fields.
• Good knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, system troubleshooting and network configuration.
• Able to conduct practical training and guide students in developing their technical competencies.

Added Advantage

• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in computer system operations, IT technical support, hardware maintenance, server administration, networking or related fields.
• Previous teaching or training experience in IT or related technical fields will be an added advantage.
• Possess VTO, TVET-i or a valid Teaching Permit.
• Hands-on experience in server installation, configuration and maintenance.
• Practical experience in computer hardware repair, network setup and mobile device configuration.
• Experience in TVET training or competency-based education.
