Job Description

Responsibilities

Role Description

We are seeking an approachable and detail-oriented HR professional to provide employee support, advise on people matters, and improve the employee experience. You will work with employees, team leaders, and HR colleagues to understand concerns, explain policies, and coordinate appropriate next steps. The emphasis of the role will depend on the assigned position.

As an HR Advisor, you will respond to enquiries about employment policies, leave, performance processes, and workplace expectations. You will help leaders apply established procedures consistently, prepare relevant documentation, and coordinate employee lifecycle activities such as onboarding, internal transfers, and offboarding. Complex or sensitive matters will require timely consultation with the appropriate specialists.

For employee relations responsibilities, you will support the assessment and handling of workplace concerns, grievances, and disciplinary matters. This may include organizing meetings, gathering relevant information, maintaining accurate case records, and tracking agreed actions. You will approach each matter impartially, respect confidentiality within the requirements of the process, and help ensure that decisions follow appropriate review and approval procedures.

For people experience responsibilities, you will coordinate employee feedback activities, engagement initiatives, and improvements to key employee touchpoints. You will review survey results and recurring enquiries, identify practical opportunities for improvement, and work with relevant teams to implement and evaluate changes. Across these responsibilities, you will maintain accurate records and communicate clearly with stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • A diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related discipline is preferred; relevant practical experience will also be considered.
  • Experience in HR advisory services, employee relations, people support, employee engagement, or a related HR function.
  • Working knowledge of employment practices and HR procedures relevant to the position’s location.
  • Ability to explain policies clearly and provide practical guidance within established procedures and delegated authority.
  • Strong listening and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive discussions calmly and respectfully.
  • For employee relations responsibilities, experience supporting case documentation, fact-finding, grievance handling, or disciplinary processes.
  • Ability to assess information objectively, distinguish facts from assumptions, and recognize when specialist advice is needed.
  • For people experience responsibilities, familiarity with employee surveys, feedback analysis, engagement activities, or employee journey improvements.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when maintaining records, coordinating meetings, and tracking follow-up actions.
  • Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential employee information.
  • Familiarity with HR information systems, case tracking tools, Microsoft Office, or Google Workspace.
  • A collaborative, service-focused approach, with the confidence to raise concerns and support fair, consistent people practices.
