Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for the safe navigation and overall operation of the wooden diving boat.
• Take charge of the boat during sailing operations and ensure the safety of personnel and equipment on board.
• Navigate and operate the boat safely within Singapore port waters.
• Operate the boat using a chart plotter and other navigational equipment.
• Conduct routine pre-departure checks and monitor engine performance.
• Perform general housekeeping, maintenance and upkeep of the boat.
• Ensure all safety equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition.
• Report any vessel defects, breakdowns or maintenance requirements promptly.
• Work irregular hours, including weekends and public holidays, when required.
• Reside on board the diving boat as required for operational purposes.

Requirements

• Malaysian candidates preferred.
• Possess a valid MPA Port Limit Steersman licence or meet the applicable requirements to obtain the necessary licence.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant boat steering and navigation experience.
• Familiar with Singapore port waters and local marine operating areas.
• Able to navigate and operate a boat using a chart plotter.
• Basic knowledge of boat engine operation and troubleshooting.
• Responsible, reliable, safety-conscious and able to work independently.
• Experience operating diving boats, wooden boats or similar small harbour craft will be an advantage.
• Must meet Singapore's applicable work-pass and maritime licensing requirements.

Salary and Accommodation

• Applicants are required to state their expected monthly salary.
• Accommodation on board the diving boat will be provided.
• Working hours and rest arrangements will be discussed during the interview.
