  • Provide report links/endpoints that can be called from the existing CNS application.
  • Modify existing ASP front-end code to publish and link the converted SSRS reports within the application's report menu.
  • Work with existing VB.NET backend and batch programs where required.
  • Configure and support SSRS across different environments, including:
  • SIT
  • UAT
  • DR

  • Support configuration of SSRS, MS SQL, IIS and ODBC services within the application environment.
  • Prepare technical documentation, including:
  • Functional Specification Document (FSD)

  • Ensure the solution complies with OWASP security standards and successfully passes security scanning requirements such as Veracode.
  • Conduct unit testing and prepare SIT test scripts and test results.
  • Support SIT, UAT and post-production implementation activities.
  • Perform comparison testing between the existing Crystal Reports and newly converted SSRS reports to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Provide post-implementation support and troubleshooting during the warranty/support period.

Required Technical Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS 2019).
  • Strong experience in Crystal Reports, preferably Crystal Reports 2008 or similar versions.
  • Proven experience in Crystal Reports to SSRS migration/conversion projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and SQL queries.
  • Experience with ASP / Classic ASP application integration.
  • Good knowledge of VB.NET development and integration.
  • Experience working with IIS and ODBC configuration.
  • Experience integrating SSRS reports with existing enterprise applications.
  • Experience with report performance, formatting, parameters, datasets and reusable report components.
  • Good understanding of application security and OWASP standards.
  • Experience working with Veracode or similar application security scanning tools is preferred.
  • Experience working in SIT, UAT, DR and Production environments.

Testing & Deployment

  • Perform unit testing for converted reports before SIT deployment.
  • Prepare test scripts and documentation for SIT/UAT.
  • Support multiple development and production code drops.
  • Troubleshoot defects identified during SIT, UAT and post-implementation.
  • Validate report output by running Crystal Reports and SSRS reports concurrently and comparing results.
  • Support post-production activities and provide warranty support after each deployment.

Documentation

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining technical documentation covering:

  • Functional specifications
