Role Description This is a full-time, fully remote role for a Persian to English Interpreter. The interpreter will provide accurate, impartial, and confidential interpretation between Persian and English in real time for a variety of settings, which may include medical, business, and community-based environments. Daily responsibilities include listening carefully to speakers, conveying messages faithfully without additions or omissions, and maintaining cultural sensitivity while preserving the original meaning. The role also involves preparing for assignments by reviewing relevant terminology, following client-specific protocols, and adhering to HIPAA and other privacy regulations. The interpreter will collaborate with coordinators and clients, maintain clear records of completed sessions, and participate in ongoing training to keep language and professional skills current.
Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in both Persian and English, with excellent listening, speaking, and comprehension skills.
• Demonstrated experience in consecutive or simultaneous interpreting, preferably in medical or professional settings.
• Familiarity with relevant terminology (e.g., medical, legal, or business terminology) and ability to research new terms as needed.
• Commitment to confidentiality, professional ethics, and compliance with HIPAA and similar privacy standards.
• Clear, neutral, and culturally sensitive communication style, with the ability to remain impartial and patient.
• Strong time management skills and reliability in a remote, full-time environment, including stable internet connection and appropriate workspace.
• Previous experience working with interpreting platforms or remote communication tools (e.g., video and phone interpreting systems) is beneficial.
• Relevant training or certification in interpreting or translation; medical or community interpreting credentials are a plus.
