About ArusPay

ArusPay (Arus Pay Sdn Bhd) is a campus payments platform for schools and universities in Southeast Asia. We help institutions collect fees, and help students and parents pay for tuition, canteen, hostel and campus services in one place.

The role

You will help shape and ship the products that students, parents and campus finance teams use every day. Working closely with the Head of Technology and CEO, you will own features end to end, from talking to users to launching and measuring results. This is a hands-on role for someone early in their product career who wants to grow fast in payments.

What you'll do

• Own a set of features on the ArusPay app and institution dashboard, such as fee collection, top-ups, receipts and refunds.
• Talk to students, parents, school bursars and university finance teams to understand their problems, and turn what you learn into clear requirements and user stories.
• Write PRDs, prioritise the backlog and run sprint ceremonies with Engineering and Design.
• Support integrations with local payment methods such as DuitNow, FPX, cards and e-wallets, working with partners through testing and go-live.
• Work with Operations and Compliance so features meet Bank Negara Malaysia and PDPA requirements and are easy to reconcile.
• Help onboard new schools and universities, gathering their requirements and making sure the product fits how their finance teams work.
• Track product metrics such as payment success rate, active users, transactions per campus and onboarding time, and share weekly updates.
• Test releases, write release notes and support training for campus staff and our support team.

What you'll bring

• 1–4 years of experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner, Business Analyst or similar, ideally in fintech, payments, e-commerce or edtech.
• Basic understanding of how online payments work in Malaysia, including FPX, DuitNow and e-wallets.
• Clear, structured writing, with experience creating requirements, user stories or process flows.
• Comfort with data: spreadsheets are a must, and SQL or analytics tools are a plus.
• Strong communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia, to work with campus staff, parents and partners.
• Curiosity, ownership and a willingness to learn quickly in a startup.

Nice to have

• Experience with B2B or B2B2C products, such as school, university or SaaS platforms.
• Exposure to payment gateways, reconciliation or merchant onboarding.
• A degree in Computer Science, Business, Finance or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• What success looks like in 6 months
• You own two to three features and ship improvements to them every sprint.
• At least one to two new features launch in production every quarter.
• A clear metrics dashboard for your area, reviewed weekly with the team.
