We are pleased to offer an opportunity for a seasoned professional to join our Finance and Corporate Services Division.

About the Role

The Consultant – Sustainability & IFRS Project is responsible for supporting and executing activities to strengthen the Group’s readiness for IFRS S1 and S2 sustainability disclosure requirements. The role will work closely with the Sustainability team and relevant business functions to translate reporting requirements into practical processes, tools and documentation.

Requirements

• Experienced in Sustainability/ ESG professional with strong knowledge of sustainability reporting and climate-related disclosures.
• Practical understanding of IFRS S1 and IFRS S2.
• Experience in sustainability data management, climate risk, scenario analysis or ESG reporting.
• Comfortable working across multiple departments and facilitating discussions with functional stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, documentation and Excel/modelling capabilities.
• Able to work independently and translate technical requirements into practical business processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Support implementation and closure of identified IFRS S1/S2 readiness gaps.
• Facilitate cross-functional discussions and workshops with Finance, Risk, Strategy, Operations and other relevant functions.
• Support development of climate scenario analysis, risk assessment and financial-impact methodologies.
• Develop practical tools, templates, models and documentation that can be maintained and reused internally.
• Support sustainability data collection, consolidation, validation and evidence management.
• Perform first-level data checks, reconciliations and verification of sustainability KPIs.
• Support annual sustainability reporting and external assurance activities, including preparation of supporting workpapers and records.
• Assist with other sustainability-related projects and reporting requirements as required during the engagement.

Experience

• Approximately 6–8 years of relevant Sustainability/ ESG, Corporate Reporting, Risk, Finance or transformation experience.
• Experience in energy, oil & gas, offshore services, industrial or other asset-intensive sectors.
• Prior IFRS sustainability reporting, climate disclosure, assurance-readiness or Big Four/ consulting experience.
• Familiarity with Bursa Malaysia/ National Sustainability Reporting Framework expectations.
• Track record of building reusable models, processes and internal capability rather than producing only one-off reports.

Qualifications

• IFRS related certifications
• SASB Fundamentals of Sustainability Accounting (FSA) credential
• ISO 14064 and other relevant certifications

Education

Degree/ Masters in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability Studies, Sustainable Finance/ Investment or other equivalent certifications.

Contract Period

Six (6)-month consultancy contract, renewable subject to business and project requirements.
