Great Eastern is advancing its use of customer data across marketing, digital and customer engagement, with Salesforce Data Cloud playing an important role in connecting data to insight and activation across our markets. As the breadth of data and use cases expands, the quality of the underlying Data Cloud design becomes increasingly important to how effectively these capabilities can scale and be reused.

As Data Cloud Architect, you will shape that design within the Salesforce ecosystem. This is a hands-on role for someone with deep Data Cloud expertise who can turn complex customer data and business requirements into robust, scalable designs across multiple markets and entities. You will work across diverse data environments and sophisticated customer engagement use cases, while ensuring Data Cloud integrates effectively with the broader enterprise data environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain the Salesforce Data Cloud data model, including Data Lake Objects, Data Model Objects, relationships and mappings.

• Design and optimise identity resolution, including matching rules, reconciliation logic, source priorities and unified profiles.

• Develop calculated insights and reusable segmentation and audience frameworks that support approved business and personalisation use cases.

• Design integration and activation patterns, including connectors to Salesforce Marketing Cloud and other approved destinations.

• Apply appropriate data cleaning, standardisation and transformation approaches to improve the accuracy, completeness and usability of customer profiles.

• Design approved Data Cloud use cases end to end, defining requirements across ingestion, data modelling, identity resolution, calculated insights, segmentation and activation, and provide technical oversight through implementation.

• Embed consent, suppression, eligibility, security and access requirements into Data Cloud designs and configurations.

• Define and maintain reusable Data Cloud design standards, data models and assets that can be adopted across markets and entities, avoiding unnecessary duplication and local variation.

• Work closely with Group IT, Group Data & AI and the Data Cloud Engineers to ensure Data Cloud designs align with enterprise data architecture and integration standards.

We are looking for people who

• Have strong hands-on experience designing and configuring Salesforce Data Cloud in an enterprise environment.

• Have deep knowledge of customer data modelling, Data Lake Objects, Data Model Objects, identity resolution and profile unification.

• Understand calculated insights, segmentation, audience design and activation and can create reusable approaches rather than one-off configurations.

• Can work effectively with complex customer and transactional data from multiple source systems, markets or entities and understand the implications of data quality and matching decisions.

• Understand how Data Cloud design and configuration choices affect scalability, platform consumption and cost.

• Can translate complex business and data requirements into practical platform designs and clearly explain the decisions and trade-offs to business and technical stakeholders.

• Have 8 or more years of relevant experience across customer data platforms, CRM, MarTech or customer data management, including hands-on Salesforce Data Cloud implementation, and hold a degree in a relevant discipline.

• Relevant Salesforce Data Cloud or Salesforce architecture certifications, Marketing Cloud experience and exposure to insurance, banking or another regulated industry will be advantageous.
