Responsibilities
Job position: Science Lab Assistant
Name of Authority: Westwood Secondary School
Contract Period: 1 January 2027 to 31 December 2027.
Option period: 1 January 2028 to 31 December 2028.
Personnel to be deployed at the following hours:
Mondays to Thursdays: 7:30am to 5:00pm; Fridays: 7:30am to 4:30pm. Each day includes a one-hour lunch break.
Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays. Flexibility may be required during examinations or special projects.
Requirements:
The following qualifications, skills and experience are preferred:
GCE N-Level qualification or equivalent.
Written and spoken English to follow instructions and coordinate laboratory support.
Cleaning or workspace-maintenance experience, preferably in a laboratory or school.
Ability to follow instructions, work under supervision, and work independently and in a team.
Basic organisation and time-management skills, with responsibility and accountability.
Job Scopes:
1. Support the efficient day-to-day operation of assigned rooms and school facilities.
2. Maintain general cleanliness, clean and organise used apparatus and equipment, and provide logistical support for lessons.
3. Keep school supplies stocked and maintained.
4. Coordinate equipment maintenance with colleagues.
