We are looking for a Software Engineer for Engineering Department to develop and maintain production software, troubleshoot system issues, support software integration with production equipment and databases, and work closely with cross-functional teams to improve production efficiency and system reliability.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Develop and maintain VB6 and VB.NET applications for production use.
- Develop software solutions to improve production efficiency, system reliability and downtime.
- Troubleshoot software issues and support production line problems.
- Analyze production system issues and identify root causes.
- Work closely with Production, Engineering, QA and IT teams.
- Prepare software documentation, troubleshooting guides and technical reports.
- Support integration between PC applications, production equipment, servers and databases.
- Arrange daily job and support schedules for subordinates during new and current model.
- Carry out activities towards achieving department objectives in accordance with KPI & MBO.
- To support superior to identify and prepare the required training needs for subordinates.
- In charge and ensure all the new models run smoothly from trial shot PP to MP stage.
- Lead and support the subordinates in troubleshooting (problem solving).
- Responsible to create and modify production software.
- Carry out Front Loading activities related to individual section.
- Support and communicate with designers in modifications and design changes activities.
- To perform additional responsibilities as and when instructed by superior.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
- Diploma and above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 3 years of software engineering or software development experience, preferably in the manufacturing sector.
- Proficient in Visual Basic 6 (VB6) and VB.NET is an added advantage.
- Familiar with software debugging, error analysis and system troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of software integration with measurement and test equipment, including equipment control, automated DUT measurement, data acquisition, and storage of measurement results in production databases or product tracking systems.
- Must have a good understanding of frequency and interference concepts, particularly their impact on equipment and system performance.
- Knowledgeable in software design, software testing, and documentation.
- Experience managing software development lifecycle.
- Excellent programming and coding skills.
- Analyzing information and creative problem-solving skills.
- Willing to travel when required.
- Must be Malaysian citizen and willing to work in Tampoi, Johor Bahru.
