About the Role
We are looking for a results-driven Project Engineer to manage projects from planning through execution, ensuring that key milestones, timelines, budgets, and deliverables are achieved. This role will serve as the central coordination point for cross-functional teams, monitor project progress, manage changes, drive the closure of action items, and proactively identify and mitigate project risks.
Key Responsibilities
1 Project Planning and Execution
- Develop detailed project plans with clearly defined milestones, timelines, responsibilities, and deliverables.
- Monitor project progress, identify schedule deviations, and coordinate corrective actions to keep projects on track.
- Manage changes in project scope and evaluate their impact on timelines, costs, resources, and deliverables.
- Follow up closely with relevant stakeholders to ensure that project requirements and commitments are fulfilled.
- Support projects throughout the complete lifecycle, from initial planning and development to implementation and closure.
2 Cross-Functional Coordination and Communication
- Act as the central coordination point for project teams and relevant stakeholders.
- Coordinate activities and resources across Engineering, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, R&D, and other relevant functions.
- Organize and chair regular project meetings, including weekly progress meetings and milestone reviews.
- Record, assign, and track action items to ensure timely closure.
- Prepare and present project status updates, key risks, escalation items, and required support to management.
- Maintain clear and effective communication among internal teams and external stakeholders.
3 Risk and Issue Management
- Identify and assess potential project risks involving technical matters, quality, supply chain, cost, resources, and timelines.
- Establish and maintain a project risk register.
- Develop and follow up on risk mitigation and contingency plans.
- Facilitate problem-solving activities and escalate critical issues when necessary.
- Monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions and risk-control measures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering, or another relevant discipline.
- At least one year of experience in project management, project engineering, NPI, or a related role.
- Experience in the new energy, battery, automotive, electronics, or advanced manufacturing industry is preferred.
- Experience managing or supporting a complete NPI project from initial development to mass production is an advantage.
- Strong project planning, coordination, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Results-oriented, proactive, and capable of solving problems independently.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile is preferred.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or SAP PM is an advantage.
