Position Summary:

• This role will be responsible for supporting manufacturing finance operations with a strong focus on cost analysis, inventory management, and financial reporting. The role works closely with plant operations to monitor production costs, analyze cost variances, and provide financial insights to support operational efficiency and profitability.
• This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate standard costing, monitoring inventory valuation, and supporting budgeting and forecasting for manufacturing activities. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, supply chain, and procurement to improve cost visibility and strengthen financial controls.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain standard costing for products, including materials, labor, and overhead rates, ensuring accurate product cost information.
• Perform detailed variance analysis on material usage, labor efficiency, overhead absorption, and production costs, and provide clear explanations for management.
• Partner with plant operations, supply chain, and procurement teams to monitor manufacturing cost drivers and identify cost reduction opportunities.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close activities related to inventory and cost accounting, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Monitor inventory valuation, analyze inventory movements, and support cycle counts and physical inventory processes to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare cost and profitability analysis reports to support pricing decisions, product margin analysis, and strategic planning.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes for manufacturing costs, including production expenses, overhead, and capital expenditures.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, corporate policies, and accounting standards while continuously improving costing processes and financial reporting efficiency.Preferred Qualifications.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/ Accountancy or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in cost accounting/ financial analysis.
• At least 5 years working in a similar capacity for a multinational business; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Background in manufacturing and business-to-business marketing preferred.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and in teams.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently under minimum supervision.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Required languages: English, Bahasa Malaysia.
• Able to work in fast pace, multi-tasking and high-volume environment.
• Good knowledge of accounting standards, tax regulation and legal requirements.
• Knowledge in Accounting software (SAP) will be an added advantage

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month

• Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

• FP&A: 3 years (Preferred)
• Costing: 3 years (Preferred)
• manufacturing industry working: 3 years (Preferred)
