- Serves as a strategic partner to plant leadership and manufacturing operations, aligning people strategies with operational and business goals. This role supports workforce planning, employee relations, labor compliance, talent development, organizational effectiveness, and culture initiatives within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- To drive workforce productivity, employee engagement, safety culture, and operational excellence while ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with manufacturing and operations leaders to develop and execute workforce strategies aligned with production and business objectives.
- Support organizational design, manpower planning, succession planning, and workforce optimization initiatives.
- Provide HR guidance during operational changes, restructuring, automation, and transformation projects.
- Use HR metrics and workforce analytics to identify trends and recommend improvement actions.
Employee Relations & Industrial Relations
- Manage complex employee relations matters including disciplinary actions, grievances, investigations, and conflict resolution.
- Maintain positive employee and union relationships where applicable.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation, collective agreements, and company policies.
- Advise managers on employee performance, attendance management, and conduct issues.
- Support dispute resolution and minimize operational disruptions.
Talent Management & Workforce Development
- Drive recruitment strategies for manufacturing, technical, and operational roles.
- Support onboarding and workforce integration programs.
- Identify talent gaps and implement succession and development plans for key operational roles.
- Partner with Learning & Development teams to deliver leadership, technical, and compliance training.
Performance & Productivity Management
- Lead performance management processes across manufacturing operations.
- Coach leaders on performance improvement, employee engagement, and team effectiveness.
- Support initiatives to improve workforce productivity, retention, and morale.
- Partner with operations to build high-performance teams and leadership capability.
HR Operations & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, occupational health & safety regulations, and internal HR policies.
- Support audits, investigations, and regulatory inspections.
- Partner with payroll, compensation & benefits, and HR operations teams to ensure smooth HR service delivery.
- Maintain accurate HR records, reporting, and workforce documentation.
Culture, Engagement & Change Management
- Drive employee engagement and culture-building initiatives within the manufacturing environment.
- Support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
- Lead change management activities related to operational improvements and business transformation.
- Promote a positive, safe, and compliant work culture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or related field.
- Minimum 6 years of HR experience.
- Experience in a unionized manufacturing environment is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of labor law, industrial relations, and employment regulations.
Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM9,000.00 per month
