Full Time Process - Manufacturing Engineer (Fresh Graduates Encouraged to Apply) Jobs, in SONT PHOTONICS Pulau Pinang - Maukerja

Job Responsibilities:

1. Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to improve yield, productivity, and product quality.

2. Provide technical support to production lines for assembly, testing, and packaging of optical / electronic components.

3. Analyze production data and process metrics (yield, scrap, downtime, cycle time) to identify improvement opportunities.

4. Troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective and preventive actions to minimize production disruptions.

5. Support new product introduction (NPI) and process transfer into mass production.

6. Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance teams to improve manufacturing efficiency and resolve technical issues.

7. Ensure compliance with ISO standards, cleanroom protocols, and ESD control requirements.

8. Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen.

9. Prepare process documentation including SOPs, work instructions, and engineering reports.

10. Perform ad-hoc production engineering-related tasks as assigned by management.

Job Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Manufacturing / Mechanical / Optical / Electronics / Mechatronics or related field).

2. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; 2–4 years' experience in manufacturing or process engineering, preferably in optical modules, electronics, or semiconductor industry.

3. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and process troubleshooting.

4. Experience in cleanroom manufacturing environments and ESD control practices.

5. Familiar with ISO standards, SOP documentation, and manufacturing quality systems.

6. Hands-on experience in yield improvement, root cause analysis, and process optimization.

7. Familiar with ERP / MES systems and production data analysis tools.

8. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical troubleshooting skills.
