Assistant Manager - Warehouse
Job Description
To overseeing day-to-day operations and administrative functions. The role is responsible for ensuring efficient and accurate inventory control of stock items required for operations, with a strong focus on operational excellence, team leadership, and compliance.
Operational Management:
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including the receipt, storage, and shipment of goods, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Maintain meticulous inventory records using SAP warehouse management systems.
- Be responsible for the accuracy of warehouse inventory and assist with inventory control, including resolving discrepancies.
- Liaise closely with the Material Requirement Planning team to minimize stockholding levels while maintaining sufficient stock of commonly used items.
- Manage the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment and machinery to ensure operational efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflow for maximum efficiency and safety.
- Ensure all instructions and procedures from the Warehouse Manager are executed efficiently.
- Team Leadership:
- Manage and lead a team of warehouse personnel, providing comprehensive training, coaching, and performance evaluations.
- Facilitate discussions with the team to find and implement improvements to operations.
- Quality & Compliance:
- Ensure proper storage and handling of materials according to safety regulations and product specifications.
- Ensure all warehouse activities comply with Quality Management System (QMS), OSHA, and food safety requirements.
- Strategic & Administrative Duties:
- Regularly review warehouse systems and procedures with the Warehouse Manager to propose and implement necessary amendments.
- Hold weekly discussions with the Warehouse Manager to review operational challenges and administrative aspects.
- Analyze warehouse operations and performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategic changes to increase productivity.
- Maintain documentation for audit and statutory requirements.
- Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Perform other duties as directed by superiors.
Skills and Specifications Requirements
- Excellent communication skill and interpersonal skills
- Speak fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English
- Experience in using SAP ERP and SAP will be added advantage
- Working experience in Inventory/Material & Warehouse Management will be an added advantage
- Knowledge of inventory control systems, warehouse organization, and material handling
- Experience managing diverse teams (including foreign workers) is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office suite
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to details and accuracy
- Able to work under tight deadlines or pressure
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Good leadership and communication skills
- Detail-oriented and good problem-solving skills
- Prefer chinesse because our supplier from CHINA.
- All invoice in CHINESSE.
- Knowledge of FIFO, FEFO, and stock control methods
- Strong coordination with production & purchasing team
- Ability to manage audits and documentation
- Good organizational and time management skills
Education & Qualifications
- Possess a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration/ Economics/ Supply Chain Management/ Logistics or a related field is preferred
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in warehousing or inventory management role (manufacturing environment preferred)

Pay: Up to RM4,500.00 per month
Work Location: In person
