Full Time SENIOR RESIDENT ENGINEER (CONTRACT) Jobs, Salary up to MYR 6,000 in REDtone Telecommunications Johor - Maukerja

As a Senior Resident Engineer (Contract) you will be responsible for the day-to-day technical operations at REDtone’s customer site. Ensuring optimal performance of ICT systems, infrastructure, and services. This role requires hands-on expertise and leadership in troubleshooting, system administration, and proactive maintenance..

• Deliver advanced technical support across applications, servers, storage, networking, and security systems.
• Lead incident management, including resolution, root cause analysis, and implementation of preventive measures.
• Oversee data centre operations, including structured cabling, UPS systems, and environmental monitoring.
• Ensure adherence to backup protocols, disaster recovery plans, and security compliance standards.
• Provide technical consultancy and support for project implementation activities.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and up-to-date asset inventories.
• Monitor application deployments, patching, and upgrades to minimize business disruption.
• Collaborate with vendors and infrastructure teams to drive system enhancements and integration efforts.
• Support testing phases, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and System Integration Testing (SIT).
• Mentor junior engineers and facilitate effective knowledge transfer within the team.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Diploma or degree in IT, Networking, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in ICT support.
• Strong technical knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking, as well as network security, virtualization, storage, and backup technologies.
• Experience with network monitoring and performance management tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
• Proven hands-on experience in configuring and managing network routers, Layer 2/Layer 3 switches, and FortiGate firewalls.

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
