Responsibilities
· To anticipate guest needs, and handle guest inquiries in a helpful and attentive SGMR manner.
· To have a complete knowledge of the hotel product, including room types, rates, relative features and facilities, food and beverage outlets and promotions, spa and gymnasium, and other SGMR properties.
· To take personal responsibility for the service and attitude with which our guest service is being delivered, and ensure it meets the highest standard of SGMR at all times.
· Take personal responsibility for ensuring all issues pertaining to guest satisfaction are met and that follow up is completed on a timely basis.
· To be proactive and innovative, suggesting alternatives that meet guest needs in enjoying their experience.
· To develop a close and harmonious working relationship with all hotel departments,
· To attend hotel events, daily shift briefings and training to improve professional skills.
· Check every Registration card for accuracy, legibility and completeness of information. Follow-up for any discrepancies.
· Greet all guests at the lobby upon arrivals and departure.
· Up-selling for our room and facilities.
· Check and arrange all guests’ bills and ensure all transaction is supported with voucher/bills for departing guest.
· Ensure Front Office Cashier Cash Float is correct and balance.
· Ensure that Front Office Department is with the most stringent hygiene and sanitation requirements including counter and office area.
· Punctual to work
· Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times according to Resort’s standards.
· Being of assistance to handicapped persons.
· Responsive and receptive to guest complaints, should analyse; and within the limitation set, make correct and quick decisions to ensure total guest satisfaction whilst also protecting the Resort’s property and revenues. Report to the Duty Manager / Front Office Manager if no immediate solution can be found and assure follow-up with guests.
· Maintain and atmosphere of tranquillity at the Front Desk, never giving the impression that there is a problem.
· Actively participate new ideas, communicate opinions, reliable, trustworthy, share knowledge and accept criticism to improve. Exercise self-control, patience and is known for his/her fairness at all times.
· Be open to new ideas and make changes in the job and routine as required.
