Environmental Engineers (Data Centre Construction) - Johor Bahru (MNC)
The environmental engineer in data centre construction manages site sustainability, regulatory and environmental compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Mitigate construction impacts, like dust and water use, and ensure sustainable, green-certified infrastructure from the ground up.
- Environmental Compliance: Managing waste disposal (e.g., scheduled waste), controlling air quality, and securing necessary environmental permits before and during construction.
- Resource Sustainability: Overseeing critical data center requirements like water stewardship (e.g., rainwater harvesting, cooling water efficiency) and power optimization.
Preferences
- At least 5 years of relevant environmental management experience in construction projects.
- Degree or diploma in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Management, Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- Familiar with environmental compliance requirements, site environmental inspection, waste management, pollution control, erosion and sediment control, and environmental reporting.
- Able to coordinate with client, consultant, subcontractors and relevant authorities when required.
- Relevant local certification or project experience in Malaysia will be an added advantage.
- Good communication skills
