About the role

Esram Metals (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced and reliable Lorry Driver to join our transport operations team based in Beranang, Selangor. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and timely delivery of our metal products to customers across the region.

• Operate lorry vehicles (e.g., 3-tonne, 5-tonne, or heavy lorry) to transport scrap metals, aluminium ingots, ferrous/non-ferrous materials, and e-waste between factories, warehouses, suppliers, and customers.

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the lorry is in safe, roadworthy condition before every journey.

• Load and unload cargo safely, ensuring proper securing and handling of materials in compliance with safety standards.

• Adhere strictly to Malaysian road traffic laws, weight limits, and delivery schedules.

• Maintain accurate delivery records, delivery orders (DO), and trip logs.

• Report any vehicle defects, accidents, or incidents to the supervisor promptly.

• Coordinate with the warehouse and operations team for efficient scheduling of pickups and deliveries.

• Ensure compliance with the company's Environmental Policy, including proper handling of metal waste during transportation.

• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of assigned vehicle at all times.

• Assist in yard or warehouse duties when not on delivery assignments, as required.

Qualifications & Licenses

• Minimum SPM or equivalent education.

• Valid Malaysian driving licence — GDL (Goods Driving Licence) or PSV as applicable.

• Valid JPJ competency certification for lorry driving.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a lorry driver, preferably in the manufacturing, logistics, or industrial/metal recycling sector.

• Familiarity with Klang Valley, Selangor, and surrounding routes is an advantage.

Skills & Attributes

• Good knowledge of road safety regulations and load securing practices.

• Physically fit and able to assist with loading/unloading of heavy materials.

• Responsible, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Good communication skills and ability to liaise with warehouse staff and customers.

• Honest, trustworthy, and with a strong sense of accountability.
