Full Time Data Center Facilities Engineer Jobs, in Open DC Johor - Maukerja

Summary.

Responsible for the operation, maintenance, and reliability of critical data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, fire protection, and building management systems. Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure maximum uptime and operational efficiency. Monitor facility performance using BMS/DCIM tools, maintain accurate operational records, and support incident management. Assist in infrastructure upgrades, expansions, and equipment installations while coordinating with contractors and vendors. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and operational procedures. Contribute to energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives by optimizing power and cooling systems to improve overall data center performance and reliability.

Responsibilities:

Infrastructures Maintenance & Operation

1. Operate and maintain critical systems: Chiller, Cooling Tower, UPS, generators, fire suppression, BMS, electrical panels, water treatment systems.
2. Conduct regular preventive maintenance and inspections.
3. Troubleshoot and repair facility systems to prevent downtime.

Monitoring & Reporting

1. Use Building Management Systems (BMS) or DCIM tools to monitor real-time performance of power, cooling, and environmental systems.
2. Record incidents, maintenance logs, and operational metrics.

Project Involvement

1. Support infrastructure upgrades, expansions, or retrofits,
2. Collaborate with contractors and vendors for installation and testing of new equipment.

Compliance & Safety

1. Ensure all operations follow safety standards, codes, and SOPs.
2. Participate in emergency drills, audits, and safety reviews.

Energy Efficiency & Optimization.

1. Analyze and implement improvements to reduce PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness)
2. Support sustainability initiatives like improving airflow management or power distribution efficiency.

Requirements:

1. Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
2. Minimum 2-5 years of experience in data center facilities management or relevant experience in HVAC, electrical, or critical infrastructure systems.
3. Preferably knowledgeable and having skills in operation and maintenance of fire protection and fire fighting system.
4. Relevant certifications such as Data Center Facilities Operations (DCFO), Certified Data Center Technician (CDCT), or similar are advantageous
