Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Management & Reporting
- Lead and oversee the Finance and Accounts Department.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Review and analyze Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement, and Management Reports.
- Ensure monthly financial closing is completed within the Group reporting timeline.
- Prepare financial analysis and reports for Management and the Board.
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and business targets.
- Ensure compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS).
- Any ad-hoc task assign by management
2. Financial Planning & Analysis
- Prepare annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Perform variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
- Analyze manufacturing costs, production efficiency, and profitability.
- Monitor operating expenses and identify cost optimization opportunities.
- Provide financial insights to support strategic business decisions.
- Evaluate capital expenditure proposals and investment returns.
3. Manufacturing Cost Control
- Oversee product costing and inventory valuation.
- Review standard costing and recommend updates.
- Analyze production losses and operational inefficiencies.
- Work closely with Production, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Warehouse Departments to improve cost control.
4. Cash Flow & Treasury Management
- Manage daily cash flow planning.
- Ensure sufficient working capital for business operations.
- Monitor receivables, payables, and inventory turnover.
- Review banking facilities and financing requirements.
- Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions.
- Optimize cash utilization while minimizing financing costs.
5. Internal Control & Corporate Governance
- Establish and strengthen internal financial controls.
- Ensure compliance with Group SOPs and Delegation of Authority.
- Review financial risks and implement mitigation measures.
- Monitor fraud prevention initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with taxation, Companies Act, and statutory requirements.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives in finance processes.
6. IPO Readiness & Corporate Compliance
Support the Group's IPO journey by:
- Ensuring finance processes meet listed company standards.
- Strengthening documentation and audit trails.
- Implementing robust internal controls.
- Supporting financial due diligence exercises.
- Preparing information required by external advisors.
- Assisting in Bursa Malaysia listing requirements.
- Supporting implementation of corporate governance practices.
- Coordinate finance-related IPO projects assigned by Group Finance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, CIMA, or MIA membership is highly preferred.
- Minimum 10–15 years of finance and accounting experience.
- Experience in ERP systems.
- Minimum 5 years in a managerial or Financial Controller position.
- Experience in manufacturing industry is mandatory.
- Experience in stainless steel, metal, industrial manufacturing, or heavy industry is highly preferred.
- Experience supporting IPO, mergers & acquisitions, corporate restructuring, or listed companies is highly preferred.
